When I met Caroline I was conservative white-wall person trying to decorate an authentic colonial home which called out for color.  My husband and I purchased our seven bedroom house in 2001.  Our situation was pretty difficult because we were committed to using our large-scale contemporary art in a way that would complement and enhance the original architecture.

Reading about Caroline in The Philadelphia Inquirer we thought her approach might work for us.  The first day she visited the house I knew she was the designer for us.  She is warm, enthusiastic, and intuitive.  Her sense of color is exceptional: she quickly composed a daring, beautiful palette for all three floors of our home.  When it came time to paint our designer worked like an alchemist, instructing the painting contractor to mix the base paint with other hues to create just the right shade or tint for each space.

Although Caroline is clear about her opinions she does not try to impose them.  We felt throughout the work that she was in tune with our vision and personalities.  She was aware that we had never worked with a design professional in the past and took extra care to make us feel comfortable, even with the contractors.  Every one she suggested proved to be honest, competent, and fair.  She saw our project through to completion with integrity and sensitivity and I recommend Caroline Millett highly.
