To Whom It May Concern,

I met Caroline Millett 18 years ago when she first came to Philadelphia to become the Vice President at what was to become the University of the Arts.  She is what we commonly refer to as a “WOW”! – not just because of her outward appearance and manifest style, but because of her extraordinary ability to understand instantly individuals and their environment.  Caroline would gently and subtly give directions to the people and world, in which she found herself.  There would always be an immediate response – Eureka – from the people she was meeting.  They had found at last, a voice for themselves.  Through her direction, they would be able to reinterpret themselves in their environments.

And this is Caroline Millett’s greatest gift in Design: as Teacher (at the University of Pennsylvania); as renovator of countless Homes and Offices; and as Author, she has opened the door for clients to express their own special styles.  It is also important to note that she brought the Memphis Design group to Philadelphia for their first major furniture show in the United States.

As Realtor in Philadelphia for over 40 years (Center City Philadelphia, - Top Lister and Seller Awardee since 1986), I have introduced Caroline to a myriad of clients. These range from a transplanted New Yorker’s Country Equestrian Estate in Unionville; to a Texas Doctor’s “instant” Condominium on Rittenhouse Square; to a Washington’s CEO’s Historic Mansion in Society Hill; and to a dewy-eyed young married couple, who wanted total “transformation” of a Romantic Frank Furness Townhouse on Delancey Street.  In each case, Caroline succeeded in creating a marvelous unique personal “environment”.

I could only wish that all my clients could have the benefit of Caroline Millett’s Eye in transforming their Houses into their Homes!
